EXIT STRATEGY GETS NEW VOCALIST

(Calgary, September 5, 2011)
Calgary political deathgrind band, Exit Strategy, today announced the departure of vocalist Therese Lanz and her replacement Wes Deleeuw.

Deleeuw is no stranger to the Calgary metal scene, previously singing with Kilyakai and currently with his project Brimstone Rise.

Drummer Casey Rogers posted the announcement on the band's Facebook page, stating that the departure of Lanz was completely amicable, with an explanation that Lanz's other projects (Mares of Thrace, KENMode) made it difficult to continue with Exit Strategy.

All the members of Exit Strategy have side projects, but Lanz's schedule of touring with Mares of Thrace and KENMode made it increasingly difficult to participate in Exit Strategy.

"We are extremely grateful for the time she made for us and wish Therese the best in all her endeavours and will continue to eat curry and/or sushi together whenever possible," states the release.

Exit Strategy promises a return to Calgary's live Metal scene in the fall with work on release #3 starting soon, with a Winter2011/Spring2012 scheduled release.
